Snake Charmer Finish

Finally a finish! WOO HOO!!! I've been doing lots of sewing but not a whole lot of finishing. Luckily, I had to finish up my Snake Charmer Quilt because I will be teaching other people how to make it at a local sewing studio in my town called Sew Make Do next month. If you are in Gainesville, FL in April, you should probably sign up here so that we can be real life quilty friends :) :) :)

I initially made the quilt top just to write the tutorial up so I didn't have a reason to finish it right away. Now that I will be teaching the class, I thought it would be nice to have the quilt hanging at the sewing studio so people could see what they would be making! I decided to just straight line quilt this one using my walking foot because I felt like it really complemented the overall design of the quilt. The first time I made this pattern, I used squiggly lines, which look nice but I really like the crispness of the straight lines. I feel like it just looks nicer. Here are a few glamor shots of the quilt :) One of these days I'm going to have to figure out a clothes line rig for my quilt pictures :)
The quilt wanted its picture taken in the swing, silly quilt!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and don't forget to wear your green tomorrow! Happy St. Patty's day everyone :)

  1. I already loved the design for the quilt top, and the finished quilt turned out great. Glad we were able to create a good reason for you to finish it!
