Freestylin Friday!

I've been pretty jealous of all the other bloggers with their catchy day of the week activities so in honor of Mike and Frank from American Pickers, I'm naming today FREESTYLIN FRIDAY.

OK, this morning I woke up and decided I wanted to make a quilt. I'm not quite sure what it's going to look like but it will be something. Maybe a lap quilt, maybe a wall hanging ... we will see. I'm going to post as I go just so I have an excuse to look at the internet while I'm sewing. Now that I wasted a 1/2 hour creating a linking button and then blogging and whoops, it seems like half the morning is gone.

Update 1: I've been saving my Toms flags and every time I buy a pair I ask the sales clerk if they have any laying around. (Toms are really awesome shoes, every time you buy a pair they give a pair to some needy kids, AND you get either a shoe bag or a flag.) I now have 10 or so and am ready to assemble some sort of quilt. I have my Toms flags, I picked out some greens and some tan that I had left over from my Snake Charmer quilt ... I think I might even throw in some elephants .... and away we go! I'll be back soon with more pictures of my progress :)

  1. Ooh I love the idea of using the flags. I'm excited to see what you come up with!
